Microsoft’s Parchi app lets you take notes from lockscreen

NEW DELHI: Microsoft Garage - a lab that lets employees work on projects of their choice - has released Parchi, an app that lets users take notes on their Android smartphones directly from the lockscreen.

With the new Parchi app, users can jot down notes quickly when the smartphone is locked and also tag them in order to make them easily searchable. The note-taking app supports text, lists and images.

Other key features of Microsoft's Parchi app is reminders, coloured coding, marking as favourites, and pinning the note to lockscreen. The notes taken using the app can be shared via WhatsApp, email, other third-party apps, SMS etc.

However, Parchi will compete with Microsoft's own OneNote app on the Google Play Store.
